Wood Spirits 1”x 4”
Deep int he woods sits the studio Baita del Bosco - the woodland hut where these spirits are born. Each figure is hand-carved from basswood, painted and lightly stained to bring out the face that was always waiting inside the wood. No two are exactly alike. They are the ancient ones - guardians, wanders, the the watchers - patient residents who have been waiting in the wood until Mary Jane coaxed their faces out. Now they’re ready to leave the woods and find their people. Fair warning: they tend to find you, not the other way around.
